No party. No cake. No little boxes tied up with red ribbons.
“I have something for you,” she said.
“Laura,” he warned.
“I just want to read something, Bill. Okay?”
“Okay.”
Monday's child is fair of face,
Tuesday's child is full of grace,
Wednesday's child is full of woe,
Thursday's child has far to go,
Friday's child works hard for a living,
But the child born on the Sabbath Day,
Is fair and wise and good and gay.
"She was Tuesday's child," Laura said softly.
"Who was?"
“Tamara.”
It was her gift to him.
