I watched my first but the last debate tonight! I hadn't watched any others for various reasons, like the fact that I'm already pretty comfortable with both candidate's stances on most issues (or at least, most issues important to me) as well as the fact that I knew I'd rage. AND OH, DID I RAGE

2. I caught bits of the debate during Phillies game commercials, but I did see where McCain wants to let post-military service people right into schools to teach...and oh did I raaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaage. That seriously has to be one of the dumbest ideas I ever heard. These people fought in a war...that obviously makes them qualified to teach children..LOLWUT? Being that I've been busting my ass to get certified to teach, I was dumbfounded by the man's stupidity. XD

Also, I stopped watching the debates after McCain couldn't shut up about Joe the Plumber. Nobody wants to pay taxes, but there's no way to put the country back together unless we all give our fair share. It's not socialism, it's putting COUNTRY FIRST, like what McCain's campaign is supposedly about.
As a former teaching student, I rage HARD at the idea of putting unqualified people into schools. There's enough crappy teachers as it is, and lots of soldiers are sure to use it as a free pass to an 'easy job' with summers off. Being a soldier does not qualify you to teach and work with groups of children, I'm sorry. I appreciate the sacrifice those people are making, but it doesn't make them perfect people for doing so.

Vets so do not need the stress/huge responsibility of teaching children after having been in a fucking war. I mean, there would be some seriously depressed teachers. AND without certification?! That's ridiculous. If McCain cared about education like he cared about all of the Bill Ayres bullshit, then I might have more than a shred of respect left for that man. OH WELL.
