Yaaay 3D TV! I will, from April onwards, have a 3D DVD and probably a 3D DVD player but it'll be a long while before I can replace my TV. >_> You're the first people I know who have the entire set! And, ok, um, we'll probably be too many to watch Ronin in 3D in your living room, I'm just realising, but in THEORY we COULD.

Heee, the final battle thing and Ronin. It is a bit different, isn't it?

I doubt the DVD will be out so soon? And well... we only have two glasses. If we shuffle the sofa and add more stools there are enough seats, but still not enough glasses ^^;;; (I have no clue how expensive they are). So yes, in theory we could *g*

*nods* very different. I felt like turning around at the end of the battle going "oh, that just was the final battle o.O -> movie is basically over already?"

I am glad you found 47 Ronin ok. I have had serious misgivings about it, because I am so familiar with the story and have seen various tv dramas or movies of it. I mean, why on earth Keanu Reeves [whom I don't like]?

But I would like to see Jin. However, I am hoping for subs, not dubbing. I dislike dubbing, even if I don't know the language.

I am afraid I know nothing about "Mortal Instruments". I think I may be the only person in the world who isn't a fan of Harry Potter. But I am fond of the hobbit [the books, not the movies]

Have you read the "Game of Thrones", or any of the "Song of Ice and Fire" books?

I know that the plot of the movie is a TAD BIT off of the historical version, but if you can accept that and the magical world including witches and tengus, the movie actually works.
It's a good thing that Keanu Reeves has dark hair and eyes, so he doesn't stand out much and his background in the movie is quite believable.

I'm not sure if I ever want to start on GoT. Too many favourite characters dying left and right etc. AND there are so many books to read.

I hear you! Though I have to say that in the case of GoT, I have barely started it [Xmas gift], and I have just heard the series recommended. We shall see how GoT goes. It is a bit "déja vu" so far.

Well, I guess I will give that movie a chance one of these days. You have reassured me. If there are witches and tengus, so why not an American?

Naja, ich kann mir schon erklären, wieso der Film nicht so gut läuft. Erstens wirkt es auf die Leute wohl stark wie ein zweites "Last Samurai" und zweitens hat's wenig mit der Originalstory zu tun. In Japan ist der Film auch so ziemlich abgekackt :X Ich seh ihn mir vielleicht schon an, aber mal sehen... wenn's ihn nur auf 3D gibt dann wohl eher nicht.

"Frozen" fand ich dafür toll :D

Ich glaube, dieser Gedanke "zweites Last Samurai" hält wohl viele Leute davon ab. Ich weiß nur nicht, wie man darauf kommt, weil die Filme bzw. die Handlungen GAR NICHTS gemein haben, bis auf die Tatsache, dass es irgendwo in Japan spielt und ein Ausländer mit in der Cast ist. Das war es aber auch schon. Guck einfach mal, ob der irgendwo bei euch in 2D läuft und überzeug dich selbst :-)

Jap, glaube ich auch. Zudem läuft auch nicht wirklich viel Promo, abgesehen von ein paar TV Werbungen... ich hab sonst nur einen sehr vernichtenden Artikel in einer österreichischen Tageszeitung gelesen ^^; Ich weiß, die Handlung von LS hat mit 47 Ronin rein gar nichts zu tun. Ich finde es nur schade, dass Hollywood nicht einfach mal ein insgesamt nicht-weißes Cast in einem Film spielen lassen kann :/ Wieso muss da immer ein Weißer als "Rettungsanker" da sein. Haben die Angst, man könne sich sonst nicht identifizieren?

Lustig, irgendwie ist oft in deinen Beiträgen die Rede von Dingen die mich auch aktuell beschäftigen. Ich war gestern im zweiten Hobbit und der war richtig gut. Hat mir auch sehr viel besser gefallen als der erste Teil, obwohl der erste hatte die tollen Gollum Szenen. Naja, im zweiten ist Smaug der Star! Das was mich am meisten genervt hat sind die vielen Orcs. Aber du solltest schon den ersten sehen, bevor du den zweiten kuckst. Hast du das Buch gelesen?

47 Ronin werde ich mir 100% noch im Kino ansehen. Er läuft hier auch nirgendwo im Original, aber das muss meiner Meinung nach auch nicht sein. Alleine soviele japanische Stars hier mal auf der großen Kinoleinwand zu sehen (Kou!!) ist Grund genug - da ist die Story für mich zweitrangig. Habe auch Pacific Rim nur für Mana Ashida im Kino gekuckt.

Und Frozen wollte ich auch noch unbedingt schauen. Leider läuft der nur noch mittags = ich hasse lärmende Kinder im Kino. Da die DVD/BluRay schon in 2 Monaten rauskommt werde ich den mir dann kaufen und nicht im Kino schauen, denke ich.
