If I thought the German custom was highly challenged with CDs and DVDs from Japan and shipments from CDJapan (and needed several days to clear a simple DVD), today the custom guys proved me right.
This is really the pits! Confirms my very jaundiced view of customs offices...At least here they never bother opening those packages, so there is less risk of mistakes. I don't understand anyway why they would be concerned about little CD packages.
But in the US the Post Office is barely competent, so, since they are the ones who take the package in charge once it arrives, it can take ages. Therefore I use Amazon, to get Fedex.
Which is probably the reason why it takes a DVD five days to clear customs. Also, this is the country where the custom takes away violins from musicians, if they can't prove they own them IMMEDIATELY -.-;
