If I thought the German custom was highly challenged with CDs and DVDs from Japan and shipments from CDJapan (and needed several days to clear a simple DVD), today the custom guys proved me right.
Due to some misunderstanding and such I was still lacking the "TEN" version with the DVD from the Special Event in Yokohama Arena.
I ordered it with EMS from CDJapan. The parcel arrived in German last Monday and was released from customs on Saturday. This Monday somebody signed for it, so I was expecting a letter from the custom here in Bremen to show up, please and bring papers that show that I really ordered it and "please pay the import fees".
Uhm... this didn't happen so far, but I received an e-mail from CDJapan today. VERY surprising content:
"This is to inform you that there has been an accident with your CDJapan Order.
It seems like the German custom inspection opened up 2 of our packages and accidentally switched the contents of the two packages and delivered them.
We received a mail from one customer informing that she received a product that she did not purchase and that the invoice was addressed for you.
She called German custom office and was able to find her package held there.
She said that she would send the package to the person in charge who is going to straighten things up.
They said that your package is expected to be delivered by the end of this week.
I am very sorry that this happened.
Let me know if you do not receive your package within a few days."
So, the girl who got my T&T DVD sent it back to the custom in Frankfurt, I assume and they will send it to Bremen? We'll see... I just hope she gets her stuff soon too.
To make matter worse, I entered the postbox address and not my real one. It's the first time ever I tried it and now I can only hope that the custom send some letter (pick up your DVD) or the real DVD there. It's highly annoying.
