This was way more gratifying than I'd imagined. I hope that you won't delete it. It's great. Your Dave is great. He deserves someone wonderful. I can't wait to see his storyline unfold. I have hopes that it's going to be grand. I've SO missed seeing that Hamhocklover has updated. I love your writing. :)

Thanks, love!! Been working on something big but it stalled...annoyingly. I thought it was writer's block and then spit this little one-shot out in about 45mins tonight...so nope. I can still write it's just that particular SL I was working on has dried up. Not sure what to do with it.

It was nice to see Dave stand up for himself, to finally be comfortable enough and accepting of himself to KNOW he deserves better. That's the Dave I want to see. Now, I can sleep blissfully, knowing my Davey is happy with himself.

Yeah...happy and aware that he has the possibility of future love and future happiness with someone NOT Kurt!! Like maybe he meets the helpful and surprisingly adorable tour guide on his visit to OSU's campus and they talk and they flirt and Dave gets his number and he comes back to Lima and walks down the halls of McKinley the next day and he's smiling to himself and he's thinking life is pretty sweet and he hears someone talking in the background and he's like...Kurt who??

Oh, I should have worded my comment better! I realized that this story was in the future, and it's totally cool that you wrote Kurt like that (ngl, evil!Kurt is one of my favorite things to read ever, but it's tragically not explored much in fanfic as far as I've seen.)

I guess after reading your summary and then some of the comments (though this isn't a personal attack on them, either), it kind of got to me, so I quickly wrote a long comment instead of thinking it through a little better.

If Dave comes out on the show, proves himself to be an amazing guy (which I think he already has to Kurt), and Kurt still won't forget... well, Dave will definitely deserve someone better. But I hope that if it comes to that, Kurt will embrace him. I think his forgiveness and kindess to Dave in Prom Queen is evidence of that, but you never know when RIB is concerned, lol.

And yes, Pirates are wonderful! And I can't wait for more stories by you <3

this is awesome. because Kurt could be this. he sometimes is. and Dave deserves better then that. but I also think that Kurt be the person dave is in love with. they bith have a way to go

Thank you. I want them to get together...more than anything. But unless RIB write a more balanced Kurt and one worthy of the changed, new improved!Dave that I also hope RIB give us, then I don't know. The way things stand now in canon...NO ONE KNOWS! Its frustrating with this damn hiatus. I just want Dave back!!

Okay, so I found this is to be so different from what you normally write. I wasn't exactly into it at first, but then I went through and read some of the comments and saw that people made valid arguments for Kurt's behavior. With that in mind, I went back and re-read it.

The second time around was much better. I wasn't launched into full out love, but at least I could see where David was coming from and how hypocritical Kurt was being. Don't get me wrong, I love my Kurtsie to death, but this characterization was pretty spot on.

I hope to read more from you soon, hon. Well, once life stops becoming so hectic I'll read more. (:

You're adorable!! This...yeah, I don't know where it came from. I'm the happily ever after FREAKIN QUEEN. Anything to get my boys together and naked, right! But I just thought....if RIB screw us pirates yet again, this is how I will be happy with it turning out. I don't want Dave miserable and alone, thinking of what could have been. I'd rather Kurt stay a little twit and get what he deserves and Dave can move on. I'm a Karofsky/self-acceptance/happiness shipper before a Kurt fan, honestly. But that's me.
