so - between Left 4 Dead and sleeping - I had a busy weekend

on Saturday - lori_dc and I headed out the the DC no-pants metro ride - we got a late start so we ended up driving down to my work and footing it over to the meeting place at L'Enfant Plaza - it started to rain about 3 minutes before we got there ( Read more... )

As I recall, it started sleeting when we were about a block from the car, and started raining about a block after that.
Your heckling was very funny, and much appreciated by those of us standing in the freezing rain for more than 1/2 hour.
We got flyered by the Young Maryland nudists or something like that, which was also funny.
I suppose if you'll strip for a metro ride, they think you must be comfortable with less than the usually acceptable level of dress.
The Metro Police were pretty cool overall, they weren't nearly as difficult as they could've been.
The tapas place was La Tasca, which wasn't my first choice but I can't complain.
I will however, never ever again participate in a no-pants ride if they can't schedule it when its not freezing outside. (sorry but I hate cold)

You are right.. there should have been better planning, more promotion, more organized gathering beforehand, an inclement weather plan, and more people would've shown up.
If the next one is as poorly organized - I will not go.

anyway - I sent Bruce an email offering my help - he stated that he wanted me to work with the group a bit more before handing anything "important" over to me
