no pants ride brain dump...
so - between Left 4 Dead and sleeping - I had a busy weekend
on Saturday - lori_dc and I headed out the the DC no-pants metro ride - we got a late start so we ended up driving down to my work and footing it over to the meeting place at L'Enfant Plaza - it started to rain about 3 minutes before we got there....
the group was FAR less organized then last year - the organizer decided ignore my suggestion of the bridge or the awning of the metro and to move us from the rainy park over to one of the federal buildings - it only took about 10 minutes till the security decided to ask us to move - NO surprise - so back into the rain we went - at this point the organizer decided to do announcements
announcements - about things OTHER then the no pants ride - in the rain - yes - I heckled him quite badly
THEN - he decided to break us into groups - IN THE COLD RAIN - the "group leaders" tried to then tell us the plans from handwritten directions that we not discussed between them before hand...
by this point it had gotten BEYOND silly - we had been in the weather for around 45 minutes
so - then we moved into the L'Enfant station - where we TOOK UP MOST OF THE SPACE!! and called all sort of attention to ourselves while the organizer had people mug for photos
then he had all of us - both groups going in different directions take off our pants right there and walk through a major metro station making as much of a scene as possible
we made it one stop before the transit police cleared our car - and requested that we put back on our pants (video here - http://www.facebook.com/video/video.php?v=1075067991595&oid=40893153035) - I got to have an amusing conversation with several transit police
the amusing part is my buddy Eric (CHOKLATE RYANE!!) had left his pants with his friend Oscar (one of the group leaders...) - so he had to borrow someones tights.....
we rode back to L'Enfant Plaza and gave up at that point - and headed to a tapas place in Chinatown (it was not my thing - but lori_dc liked it...
at least the company was good and the rest of the weekend was awesome.....
