While I can not defend the point or purpose of this self-indulgent post, I can refuse to care. It is pretty useless, as I can only listen to so much music, and inevitably some of the greatest music has not reached my ears. This order is somewhat loose, except for the top spot ( Read more... )

I have to agree one hundred percent with your top choice for the year Tim, no question. Though of course Clap Your Hands and Sigur Ros are up there for me too - great list. Oh and didn't we listen to Tagaq's entire album that day at the Bowmanville creek? (correct me if I'm wrong..)

Operation...UGH. I had anticipated more fun, less aggravation but I'm glad you enjoy it. Calum: be wary.

I'm certain we listened to a sizable portion of the album, but I think we changed it to the Mongolian throat singers Chirgilchin several songs in (after having skipped ahead to the Tagaq/Bjork track), followed by In the Aeroplane Over the Sea I believe. You have listened to much of it though.
