Oh, wow. This is so very very you, raw and emotional, you made me feel it, you put me there with you. I can feel the pain, the sadness, the anger, all of it. The rhythm of this piece is astounding, as well-as I was reading it I could see you up on stage in a crowded, smoky bar, alternating between spitting out the anger with pure vitriol and gasping out the pain, and all of us giving you copious amounts of snaps at the end of it (as you do when you are blown away by some great beat poetry). This was really good! I'd love to see more in this style from you; it suits you well.

Thank you very much! I wanted to take the concept of recognizing another's humanity a step further, considering all the things "we see" about the human condition (in this case, particularly in the US, as that is my sandbox ( ... )

User madman101 referenced to your post from 'When did we all stop believing in magic?' saying: [...] just since we got so dumb? When do we mourn 1 in 20 snuffed out? When do stop destroying ourselves? [...]

My whole body is full of goosebumps reading this. You have built a powerful image of words here, a testimony to this terrible time.

Thank you... I hope goosebumps are good thing, in this case.

I had intended for it to be more than just mental images... it would have been more powerful as a recording, and I did want to record it, but while I have purchased recording equipment, I still haven't quite yet figured out how to use it... :-/

*sigh*

c'est la vie, n'est-ce pas?

The goosebumps are a testimony to how vivid and intense the emotions are, that emerge from your words.
I am not somebody who wants or needs sounds to perceive the depth of a narrative, the written word is much more powerful for me.

Thanks so much! Yeah, a lot of emotion went into it... it's hard to feel mentally healthy in the world we live in right now in so many ways... a lot of that came out here. I'm glad it worked for you... it was a relief to get it all out.
