What a wonderful story, and you told it so well! What happened to the rescued birds, and were the ones left behind eventually get rescued?

I'm sorry, it seems you caught this story mid (user-error) glitch (pebkac!), but, I did have that story there. It was just temporarily "eaten" by LJ (or my butterfingers, probably), while I was shopping for a shirt for Minion last night. I'm really very happy that you enjoyed the story, even though you didn't get to learn, it has the happiest of happy endings ( ... )

i think that felony was justified.... and if the cops never investigate, does it really count? those poor birds.

edited way after the fact to say that when i read this last night it didn't have pictures or cinderella's happy ending, and a. she's a very pretty bird, and b. i'm so glad she adopted you and that you can give her the good home she deserves.

If you have Notepad, paste into Notepad from Word and then into LJ from Notepad. The copy-and-paste issues are almost entirely Word's doing, and pasting to a text-only editor first usually clears them up. You still have to go back and add the formatting, but it's been my experience that Word usually ruins the formatting anyway -- I've gotten in the habit of adding the HTML tags for formatting as I write.

Thanks! Only the one really "has" me, but the others were able to make use of me for a time when they needed it. I'm glad you've enjoyed their harrowing, but happily ended tale.

What a beautiful story! I hope the other birds were eventually also rescued and I hope that business owner went out of business over that!

Thanks! I suspect that neither of those is likely to be the case, but it is a nice thought, and thanks for making me smile with the image of it! ;)
