The soup I made tonight with black-eyed peas turned out delicious. I made
this recipe in the slow cooker and added about 1/2 t. of cayenne to give it a little kick. I used 2 c. raw black-eyed peas which I soaked overnight instead of canned. I'm glad the recipe makes a ton of it because I anticipate many happy noms.

There are some good looking recipes on allrecipes.com that I can't have because they contain ingredients like canned soup -- which almost always contains MSG -- but if those restrictions don't apply, there's a lot of inspiration to be had there.
I'll go back through my recipes and post some of the ones I haven't made in awhile. I used to have one for jambalaya I haven't made in ages.
