Since I said most of what I wanted to say in my entry (and this post of yours tied up all of it nicely), I just want to let you know that -if you do decide to open such a community- I'll support you 100%. And if you need help with it or something, I'd like to offer a hand whenever possible.

Thank you, for considering all of this.

:)

If you have name suggestions, I'm all ears.

That, and maybe becoming a co-mod.Not just for keeping the place in order, but having a few more opinions to run ideas by with or to point out when I'm being a tool (I'm human. It can happen ;) )

I'm sorry. I'm horrible with coming up with names, so I'm not going to even try to attempt it. But I'd be delighted to be a co-moderator! I don't have any skills to brag about, but I like to organize, so I can probably help out keeping the community neat and orderly.

I do definitely agree on the idea of having as few rules as possible. The more rules you have the more people will fear saying something, even if it doesn't violate the rules. Again, some of the Bleach forums try to keep the peace, but they end up having rules I wonder if I'm breaking. Then there's always the special cases who seem to get a million warnings before they're (temporarily) booted ( ... )

The only thing at concerns me is the shipping half. Maybe it's just me losing my faith in people being able to be decent about this sort of thing, but there does tend to be a mutual tendency on both sides of the "main ships" to kinda gloat that a certain moment fails to meet fan expectations. I think a good shipping rule would be: talk about your ship, or if you're going to talk about an opposing one, be constructive and listen to what they have to say. If it gets to hairy, just agree to disagree.
That's my personal stance on that sort of thing, too. As long as people are being polite, they can defend their moonbat theories till the cows come home, and people are free to debunk you with canon evidence. I did plan to make a shipper courtesy guideline in the profile.

I think if people come at it without feeling like they have to win or prove that their ship is better, it may be easier to discuss things most people don't want to discuss.
Yep ( ... )

It's actually ridiculous how many Bleach communities there are and they're all dedicated to some pairing or another. It's quite depressing when I think about it.

So this is going to be great, because it'll prove that there doesn't have to be pairing biases to enjoy an awesome manga series. :D

Agreed. I may have my pet pairings, but I can't talk about any one topic for too long without being bored out of my mind.

Like I mentioned to Bitter_tea, the best solution is just to take a neutral position on shipping, welcome everyone and toss out the idiots that either can't or don't get it.

Hi, stumbled upon you in Haruomi's journal! *shakes hand*

I happened to had discussed the possibilities of establishing such a comm with bitter_tea on MSN, and was glad to be seeing some other people with similar ideas. I love to talk about Bleach in general and not just the shipping part, which mostly exasperates me in general forums because biasness always appears. This was what inevitable drew me out from general discussions because i'm tired of refuting. One of others posts seemed to be directing at something with hidden agenda. Even if it was the topic of Ishida's current whereabouts.

If you don't mind, i would like to befriend you, and lend you my support in the comm.
