I can't speak for my partner in crime (I think we're about on the same page though), but I'm not crazy about mind!sex in general either. But we thought just a smidge, a nod to the fact that he isn't quite human, could work. Especially as another element of his fragile control and as a way for him to know a bit more about how she feels. It was a fun experiment and I'm glad it worked for you!

Lovely consummation. For some reason, my favorite moment was:

“I'm nuh-” he heard himself breathe out, trying to warn her that he couldn't go much longer.

It just made me melt into a puddle on the floor. :)
