And he had his eyes closed that second time in the car, didn't he? I loved that detail, that little twist from how you began, to show that the conversation, and the contemplation, have shifted his world into focus.

I know you know how I feel about this fic. And I try to refrain from commenting when I've beta'd...but I can't shout it loud enough, how I love this story.
I love that Rose is **Mad** about the way things are, but you mention that they've kept this delicate balance for a while now...
I love that he had sex with other women(not very shippy of me, I know, but still), and that you were delicately ambiguous about whether or not they were involved pre-DD.
I love the "“I need you to stop doing that,”" line...the pain after sex is so real...I can see her going straight from, "God yes harder!" to all emo and angry.
I love the ""Really, Rose?"" line because it's so real, too--he wants to cut the bullshit, get real...and we find out later that he's not mad at her back, he's scared this is the end.
I love the hot sex, the storm imagery (of course) and then the not-quite (and therefore authentic) resolution they reach, separately and together.
And lastly, I love Tom, if a tad begrudgingly ;)

You might blame this fic by chicklet73. While it doesn't fit the description I wrote, she pretty much wrote the book on sad Doctor shags others angstily.

I think they both keep a lot simmering under the surface. Both good and bad things. Both before and after the Ten/TenII split. And I do think that while Rose and Ten II will be happy, she's going to have to get over a whole lot of rejection. And I can totally see them sort of tiptoeing around each other, not wanting to bring up anything too sensitive. Both terrified of tipping the delicate balance, of being left without the other.

I can see her going straight from, "God yes harder!" to all emo and angry.

Woah. Maybe I'll write a 'missing scene' from her perspective for that part. ;)
