A perfect day

Today was my own personal Mother's Day. We celebrated a week after the rest of the US because last Sunday my daughter wasn't home from college yet, This worked well for all concerned as it freed my son to spend last Sunday with his fiancée and her mother. The filling is cream cheese mixed with powdered sugar, cinnamon, and chopped pecans. He cuts Italian or challah bread into thick slices and cuts a pocket into each slice to stuff it, Then he dips each slice in a mixture of cream, beaten eggs, and nutmeg and cooks it in butter, Top with raspberry sauce and yum!
