Feedback from interview

Got a phone message with feedback on my job interview. I need to bring a professional portfolio and show examples of things like differentiated lessons, rather than just talking about them. I need to be more focused in my answers: they want a brief point, one example, short and sweet and organized and tied up with a bow.I talk too much, I guess. I' ( Read more... )

Don't blame yourself, okay? The art of interviewing has changed a lot just in the past ten years. If you have a local employment/job link office, see if they offer interviewing workshops (they are usually for free). Incredibly, they never teach us this stuff in school - I consider it a more important skill for the real world rather than learning how to work with invisible numbers.

And that feedback is GOLD. You'll never get a U.S. interviewer to tell you what you need to work on.Definitely work on what's suggested, and try to find an interviewing workshop. You will thrive in the writing/editing field, you have the focus for it.
