They're actually not that tasty. Very simple kind of food. I don't know how to explain! Just good to eat :)

used to eat them all the time when i was young. like the pink ones best even tho they all taste the same. and with brown sugar...yum yum!

I do think some colours, like brown and green, do taste differently.

yah ! it's Wah gor kueh. Or chinese call it "Fa Gao". This one is mini version. Fa1 as in fluff up/ grow.

Think it's not that easy to make. Apparently my mom (who likes this too) said the last time version was much better, and was mixed with ice cream soda to give it the proper "growth" and taste. and that the versions nowadays are commercially made that's why they all sort of taste a bit more bland now vs our childhood version.

Wow, recently I either heard or read something about using ice cream soda too. Can't recall what.

But it's so difficult to get ice cream soda now. Especially if it's from Schweppes.

I stick this in the microwave and then slap on dollops of magerine. Oooo...shiok...but can die early.
