You know, every time they try to sell me on the Damon/Alaric friendship, I flash back to Damon gloating about killing/turning/having sex with Alaric's wife. And then killing him.

I may have laughed at imagining Damon/Elena fans being disappointed. It's mean, but after last ep...

*resumes making icons of Caroline cuddling nekkid Tyler, because I am suddenly less than half my actual age*

(also, lol, all the D/E fans bitching about how disappointing the ep was)

OMG the amount of 'faux neutral observations' tonight is UNBELIEVABLE. "Stefan is so boring" "Paul seems to be sleepwalking" "Nina just couldn't muster any feeling of caring" "There was just no emotion in their scenes" -- riiiiiight, people. Nothing to do with not getting the cave sex. CRY MOAR YOUR TEARS ARE DELICIOUS.

I've only seen the last 15 minutes so I can't comment on the actual ep yet, but some of the commentary is eyeroll worthy.

I thought the episode was glorious. All the fears for S/E fans for a gloriously shippy S/E episode. And I am shipping Tyler/Caroline like BURNING.

They had cameras in her apartment, but they don't have cameras in their own base?

Ikr?! This is actually even worse than no one (except Jade) noticing how sneaky Alex is *lol*

Won't miss Thom either,he was boring *shrugs*

also, lol, all the D/E fans bitching about how disappointing the ep was

I mean, I guess I can kind of fanwank it that they don't want to risk cameras being hacked. Even if the system was set up to be watched live by guards but not taped so there wouldn't be a record, someone could still theoretically tap in and make their own recordings. I could maybe see Percy being paranoid about keeping himself and Division's activities completely off the record. And putting cameras into recruits houses to make sure they're following orders shouldn't be as risky since 1) they shouldn't be talking about the secret stuff anyway, and 2) one person talking conspiracy in their home doesn't actually prove conspiracy so nothing someone might be able to gleam would really be a threat to Division.

But that's a lot of fanwanking.

I'm just going to chalk it up to growing pains and hope that now that Alex is 'out' she won't have to wonder around Division ridiculously easily anymore.

Those cameras were in Daniel's house, actually. BUT YES, HELLO, DIVISION.
