I've been congested and lost my voice on Saturday night. I mean singing Karaoke at least two songs after I should have stopped wasn't my best life choice. (Especially when my last song was "You'll Never Walk Alone.") I called in sick on Sunday, but worked on Monday and my voice completely gave up the ghost at 6PM. I have not really been able to

Hang in there. I still need to get the second booster but I'm masked everywhere because I'm immune compromised. But I'm a little puzzled. Could it be plain old laryngitis? I always thought that was an illness like getting a cold.

Funny story: I once lost my voice but had to call in sick every day. Everyone in my office knew it was me by the croaking sounds. But they hired a temp and when I called, I was screaming into the phone in an almost soundless whisper saying "It's sharp and I can't come in today" and the temp said, "Oh, sharp? She isn't in yet but I'll leave a message." !!! I ended up ringing my neighbor's door and handed them a note to call my office for me. LOL

Now my brand new boss; who wears a mask all the time due to living with elderly parents has tested positive.
I got over the throat thing with steroids and patience, then got whammies last weekend with vertigo from exhaustion, and possibly overdoing the chai lattes with almond milk, which I’ve now added to my alcoholic (or just not good for me) food list.
