For those who've been following me on LJ going back to 2005 and 2006, or anyone who happens to know me in real life, my Lance loathing will come as no surprise.

I live here in Sodom-on-the-Colorado, and people here have known about his real nature for some time. "He's an asshole, but he's OUR asshole." Now that the doping allegations have been proven true, the city is just really disappointed in him and trying to figure out a graceful way to take his name off of things that are named after him.

I personally feel that he should go back to DFW/Richardson, because we're usually much more chill about things here. Jeez, dude, smoke that shit and don't take stuff so goddamn seriously.

FUCK YOU, LANCE ARMSTRONG.

It's times like these that make me glad I've never found sports interesting.

Wow! I'm not a BIG sports fan, but I will caught up in my local teams and various types of events. Bike racing is actually a fascinating sport with a lot of levels and layers within each race. That's why it drives me so crazy that most people in the US pretty much only know what they know relative to Lance.

It's not that I hate sports. I just can't tell people apart so watching sports becomes a chore. That's why I like actors with odd faces, they're basically the few people I can remember without having to spend several minutes thinking where I have seen them before. I can get why people get into it, but when I try, I only get confused. Every time.

I started to follow Cycling, since it was getting so big, but along with you, something about Armstrong always bothered me, it seemed preordained, rather then him actually winning.. you know... like it was orchestrated. I never really trusted him and I gravitated towards the sprinters and followed them.

I do look forward to a time when his name it not even mentioned, it is times like this that I think shunning is needed. he is out of the sport.. and so we can just not pay attention to the monster anymore.

I enjoy the sport in spite of him at this point.
