Lance Armstrong Faces Grim Endgame as His Doctors Are Banned for Doping

I think everybody knows how much I'd love to see Lance actually busted for this crap, BUT I'm really skeptical about this story, since last week's brou-ha-ha about a bunch of team-mates giving evidence to USADA seems to have a been a load mahooey.

I don't think the team-mates stuff was rubbish I think it was just... well I'm pretty certain they'll have been called to give evidence and I think someone at a not-so-big-and-clever newspaper found that out and made the jumpt from "ex-teammates giving evidence" to WITNESSES AGAINST LANCE when the case is ongoing *shrugs*

It does look weirdly like everything Lance touches atm is crumbling. I really have no idea what he thinks he's doing with this appeal to a federal judge which was 1) stupid 2) bad PR 3) more stupid 4) if proved right would get a whole heap of other dopers off the hook...

I still mostly wish he would just go away somewhere and live quietly with his family and stop it with the sport and the appeals.

"Living quietly" doesn't appear to be something he's constitutionally capable of doing.

I keep thinking that the "evidence" story was either a deliberate leak or a plant designed to mess with specific riders, OR maybe someone in USADA thought there was going to be a cover-up so they leaked? I dunno. Maybe I'm just a big ol' tin-hat, but there was something VERY screwy about that sequence of events.

There were some suggestions that the leak actually came from Lance's camp because it effectively put a lot of the attention onto those riders, particularly as they were all at the tour, and obviously more or less says they all doped too.

It's all so messy,

That would be extremely Machiavellian. (Very clever, Mr. Armstrong.)
