Yuletide Reveal

Yuletide 2008 came very close to not happening at all; I landed home three days before the reveal with nothing written for one main and a pinch hit, and mostly did the "despair!!!" thing. *g* Then I stuck my head into #yuletide, and everyone there was so enthusiastic, awesome and relentlessly evil encouraging that I ended up with 3 main stories, 5 ( Read more... )

I found my way here from the Yuletide reveal post, and since you so generously offered, I'd love a DVD commentary for Ho ho ho! It's marvellously written but I feel like I'm not getting all of it, so more would be wonderful, and I love to read what writers have to say about their work. You don't need to, of course, but it would be wonderful! And in case you didn't see it, I recced the ficlet here.

Have read the Lucifer one and am liking it muchly <3

A question though, because it was bugging me as I read through it: the title of part 3 made me think "Macbeth", but then the mention of Denmark made me go "Hamlet?"
Alternatively, I am completely and utterly off the mark. Regardless, I'd like to know which of these it is.

Heh, I actually wasn't thinking of Shakespeare at all when I was writing that one! Though, now that you mention it, I see where the links might've been pretty strong, considering it's padded on both ends by literary references. *g* No, K is not that smrt and meta -- Denmark was the result of my beta correcting me: I'd originally put Salem, but apparently they only hanged witches there, never burned.

Oh, I see. I guess it's because I'd had Hamlet drilled into my brain in high school that the whole Denmark + men being senseless and tearing themselves apart thing stood out for me.

In other news: on the house of windowless rooms arc (Lucifer). Hybrid eastern/western style is slightly strange but am slowly growing accustomed to it. Lucifer in a kimono. Or at least, an oriental style robe. I thought of Tseng when I saw this, and of the ever-increasing cross over potential *promptly shoots it*

I APPROVE OF TSENG IN A KIMONO

OH HEY CONSIDERING THAT RUFUS/LUCIFER ONE HAD THEM IN WESTERN STYLE SUITS.

YOU KNOW.

BUBBLE BUBBLE TOIL AND TROUBLE, BABY.
