I've been hugely busy with writing, which thrills me no end. I wish I had loads of subs to report, but I do have two stories worked on. One I've reluctantly decided to put away. I love the story, but it's one of my good-ideas,-too-bad-the-characters'-motivation-is-a-dud sort of thing. I'm thinking about how to better use the ideas, though. I did

Great to hear you are writing. Me too - though I have no idea how this one will turn out. I'm up to 7.5K and have two chapters to go. Then I need to go back and virtually rewrite most of the first half. I have a page of notes to deal with already - but I'm not changing things before I have finished the whole story. That is highly unusual for me, but I'm worried I won't make it to the end, as I have so many doubts about the tale, so I'm being disciplined.

I'm worries about using three POVs in a short story, and when to choose to switch, how to keep characters alive during the other's parts and whether I can slip in enough backstory - and when.

This was hopefully going to be this quarter's WOTF, but I think it will slip into the next. Unless some kind of frenzy takes me over and I finish and edit it before late tomorrow night... Doubtful.

Anyway - another D blog post made as a comment to someone else's. Keep up the writing.

I like that you make big comments like this, though. I find you here and there, it's all good. About the only ones I do dislike are those who don't respond to replies on their own blog. Especially when they've asked, "So, how is everyone doing?" or "what do you think?" and there are many if not all comments with no replies--uck, to me, that's very disrespectful and I've pretty much stopped posting to them for any reason. This is nice, like a big ol' word hug :)

Well, keep going with the three povs anyway--whatever's written can be rewritten and it might be going better than you realize. You're trying something, keep rolling.

This is one lovely thing about wotf: there's always another one.

You are too kind :). I'm realizing with that story (Augury), that the ideas or some of the scenes are cool, but the characters and what those are hanging on really don't work. I sort of always knew that but let it go...see, it needs another incarnation, I suppose, heh.

The one I'm working on now is my last week's flash, with the commercial? I'm trying to make it work better :)
