So I came home to a letter saying that my doctor's office with Cedars is no longer working with my insurance company. Blue Shield isn't paying enough to cover their costs, so they've dropped them. Fabulous.
Nurse Dingbat aside, the care we've gotten at Cedars has been pretty good. Still, if they're not working with our insurance any more,

And my poor fiance- he got stuck in limbo. Disability does NOT qualify you for any health insurance and cancer will kkick you right out of any plan if it is pre-existing. Finding a doctor that ACCEPTS the insurance we had-that is harder than finding a needle in a field of grass.

The "Kaiser" was doing their typical dance this past week trying to pressure my friend to remove her mother (age 63) from life support, then Mom came back for a day all chipper and talking... back peddle... yes she did die 4 days later. They were told she was not going to be a candidate for any surgery and did nothing but make her comfortable.
