I was going to make a Drunken Earl, but I forgot to grab some Earl Grey teabags from my desk at work as I was leaving.

No worries! I wonder what would happen if I used another kind of tea?  English Breakfast... um.. no.  (although caffeinated liquor does sound rather cool)  Genmaicha.. might be a little plant-y. Chamomile? Yuck.  Aha! Trader ( Read more... )

you could even do that with the tea vodka with club soda and lemon and some Grand Marnier. That would be good, too.

You have inspired me, now. I must try this and see how the roommates like it.

I'm thinking with the oranges and spices, try a spiced rum
that sounds really good to me, now I want to make an orange spiced rum sorbet
mmmm

Actually, just regular Coke seems to work with the orange-spice-vodka concoction. Maybe the next time I have some rum around, I'll try and infuse that with the rooibos teabags. :)

My friend bohostar must be credited with this one.

It's a cup of Earl Grey with Bailey's Irish Cream.

so yummy.

We made a variation I like to call Indian Express. It has Chai tea and Baileys, but I made a new variation that is Chai liquor and black tea.

Damn. Earl Grey + Baileys sounds awesome.

Next time I have some Chai tea, I'll see what happens if I infuse that with vodka. :)

I would definitely still add milk.

Perhaps I'm missing something, but... Earl Grey = English Breakfast + bergamot, far more often than not; thus, the original recipe would also be caffeinated.
