first weight goal in years

I haven't set a weight goal, on the actual scale, in years. But my doc did a good job of convincing me that now is the time to get it down and then keep it down as I get older. I can't ignore the scale. I can't just eat/drink whatever I want. I mean, I could back when I was running marathons LOL ( Read more... )

In regard to food items, I leave behind the tip: Look out for what satirates a lot and makes you eat leser. For example, pure milk is good in this instead of cheese.

Then... "healthy fats". Fish stops a lot too, and on the sidelines, it contains different fat. Such which is rather consumed by one's metabolism and not put in the depots.

Plant-based oils are also the better choice when it comes down to fats. - But here, you'd have to look what tastes you like, how you can build it into your diet and how the prices are like for each kind of oil specifically.

For example: Olive oil has become quite expensive in Europe. I keep looking out for whenever I can get some cheaper than usually in stores and that it's not the cheapest of the cheapes fusel (I like to avoid mixtures of oils from different origins and that it mentions a definite origin at least.)
Curently you're good here if you get a bottle of 500 ml with an evidenced origin under 6,99 €. (And it can only get more expensive, due to inflation.)

Yeah, I've read that a general rule is to use fats that remain liquid at room temperature, such as olive oil instead of cheese & butter. I'm pondering a variety of dietary changes ... ...
