I think I caught in some scientific explanation that carbon emissions are under a 14-/15-years delay when it comes down to their effects in the atmosphere. 14/15 years - that means humans are just dealing with the effects of the carbon emissions from about 2007/2008.
Now think for yourself how much global consumption still came after those years... As I keep saying "the years when smartphones came into existence and eventually became mainstream still lie ahead" - and you know how fast the technology in that sector is being considered "out-dated" by current software developers and hardware sellers... It's gonna be a lot of "fun" still to come.
A lot of climate scientists don't want to talk about post-2100 or worst-case scenarios because they feel it is too depressing and will sap motivation for fixing the problem
