the "when can I mow the lawn" algorithm

My ideal for mowing the lawn is when the sun is low or obscured by clouds, and the grass is not wet. I'd hoped the grass would not be wet this morning, but it is -- the temperature dropped to the dew point and so we have dew

We, too. try to work around rain and dew and tolerable temperatures in timing the mowing of our lawn. Meanwhile the lawn services that do all of our neighbors' lawns come and mow in whatever kind of weather, including torrential downpours sometimes.

They have the powerful machines that can mow in any weather :-)

But mine hasn't come yet! The agreement was by Saturday, and of course I'd understand if weather intervenes, so they aren't late yet.

But mowing the lawn when it's wet damages the blades of grass. They don't care.
