Yeah, my friend Elizabeth likes to say that when you buy a lottery ticket, you're buying the experience of hoping and thinking about how you'd live if you were rich, who you'd give/donate money to, etc.

$2/week to buy a fantasy. I think that's a reasonable proposition...I love dreaming of what I would do with it. And more important, what I WOULD NOT do with it.

Among the things I WOULD buy with it is a dinner out at a restaurant for pretty much all my friends and acquaintances. (A crispy $100 bill...in my neck of the woods, that buys dinner and drinks for two easily.)

Expect an envelope from me in the event I win, Bug. I'll bet you're holding your breath...
