Yes, somehow living in NY having been born in CT seems very different from living in CA having been born in OH.

For the purposes of polling, do you mean literal birth place, or where you grew up? (We moved here before I was 2 years old. Technically this isn't my birth place but I have no memories of before then.)

I am within 15 blocks or so (and I'm talking small-town blocks, not big city blocks) of the hospital where I came screeching from my mother's womb.

I live in the same house where I was born. (Yes, I was technically born at home, and arrived at the hospital a bit later.)

I was tempted to count Northern Virginia as a different state from Southern Virginia--but I didn't. O:-)

Well, now that I see you meant literal birthplace, I could just say that I don't live in North Carolina anymore. (The place where I grew up in Southern Virginia was a few miles from North Carolina.)
