Um . .. I know this isn't necessarily kid-related or group-related, but we're pretty desperate at Village Shalom for reliable volunteers for our Sunday bingo group. We have a lot of residents that need help playing, and lately our high schoolers have been crapping out on us. The Volunteer Center of Johnson County could probably point you towards some places.

Girl Scouts, Camp Fire, Big Brothers / Big Sisters, Boys and Girls Club, (If you want to work with teens, Boy Scouts has an coed youth program for 14 and older), Head Start, and the Nelson does kids art classes in the summer.

The Scouting programs also have a Green / Environmental angel as well.

the nelson-atkins museum actually has a ton of kids programs throughout the year, and lots of volunteer opportunities. you can find info on the museum's website - www.nelson-atkins.org
