Maybe you're just tired from all the stress you've been under. With the semester over, you'll have more downtime.
To get your creativity wheels turning, just pick something--real or imaginary, concrete or abstract, could be anything really--and try to approach it from a different perspective. Maybe you could imagine you're an alien who is encountering an everyday Earth object for the first time and trying to figure out what it does. Or you could pretend you're from a parallel universe and familiar things are in fact strange to you-- then think about what the "differences" you've made up would imply about your original dimension and how it diverges from this one.
She's coming up with an assignment for me. I said I would do whatever she said so...hopefully my willingness to do this will encourage her to go easy on me.
The reason for that is to break people of the habit of drawing something as a symbol as opposed to drawing what's actually there.
Actually I would like to go through what I have for KitS with you. I know that's a weird thing to think of, but that's what it made me think of.
I've hit this strange state of stagnation. THIS. I have this too. I haven't been in the mood to draw anything for myself or any of my ideas lately either, and when I do draw I feel like I'm just doing the same things over and over again. Uggghhh.
Aw, you think so? Thanks. I've been feeling kind of stuck and uninspired these last few weeks, but I've finally drawn more this week. Mostly because I'm experimenting with my style yet again.
Do something totally different from what you normally do. Normally draw people in period clothing? Draw a detailed natural landscape. Normally have a very tight, detail-oriented style? Try doing something in a vague, expressionist-kinda style. Whatever it is that you're comfortable doing, stop doing that and do something you've never really considered doing. Even if you don't like it, you'll have a bit of a fresh eye for what you would like to do next.

Interesting suggestion because that's how art students are taught to approach life drawing. XD

Heh. I didn't know that.
You could always take Dashiell Hammet's advice-- have a man with a gun walk into the room. You could draw Aqualad kicking his ass. ^_^
