Maybe you're just tired from all the stress you've been under. With the semester over, you'll have more downtime.
To get your creativity wheels turning, just pick something--real or imaginary, concrete or abstract, could be anything really--and try to approach it from a different perspective. Maybe you could imagine you're an alien who is encountering an everyday Earth object for the first time and trying to figure out what it does. Or you could pretend you're from a parallel universe and familiar things are in fact strange to you-- then think about what the "differences" you've made up would imply about your original dimension and how it diverges from this one.
She's coming up with an assignment for me. I said I would do whatever she said so...hopefully my willingness to do this will encourage her to go easy on me.
The reason for that is to break people of the habit of drawing something as a symbol as opposed to drawing what's actually there.
Actually I would like to go through what I have for KitS with you. I know that's a weird thing to think of, but that's what it made me think of.
It just doesn't connect in a logical way. It connected in the Merriam Connection...I had something...I really did...not the point. We should hang out some afternoon. Maybe Thurs. Or I could actually write the story in order and post it. 8P

Interesting suggestion because that's how art students are taught to approach life drawing. XD

You could always take Dashiell Hammet's advice-- have a man with a gun walk into the room. You could draw Aqualad kicking his ass. ^_^
