How long had it been now that he was thrown into the world of Nabari? Weeks? Months? At times it even felt like years. But he knew that it was no where close to years...though it seemed to have the effect of feeling so long. This might have been from the fact that since joining he had almost nothing but trouble. That was except for a few things ( ... )

Yoite looked grimly apologetic for waking him, but he knew that he should have expected as much when he touched Miharu's wounded hand. He had just needed it so badly. This contact with the one person he was truly close to... the first person to even try to be close to Yoite.

He carefully shifted his still tear littered face so that it was now his cheek pressed very lightly against the hand. He tried his best to be mindful of the wound, but of course when someone was in a state such as Yoite's some shuddering clumsiness was a given.

"...I-its.... my fault.. that you even had to..."

He shyly and shakily lifted his free fingers to brush against Miharu's cheek. His eyes are dark and heavy with sadness and regret.

"...its... the same wound, isn't it? The one... I gave you before..."

"It is...but it doesn't hurt really."

Miharu lied again not wanting him to know how much it was hurting at the moment. At times he knew it was best to hide somethings from the other, like the fact that ever since he got the scar he didn't feel as well the hand. But that was something he grew accustom to easily, it was his less dominate hand so it was easier to hide. His true lie at the moment was, even with the dulled sensation in it, that is still ached...he knew he plunged the knife in too deep.

Yoite's gloved hand made him relax a little more, it was amazing what one touch could to to relax him. Trying his best to calm Yoite more he smiled looking at him fully now, seeing those tear lines made his heart hurt some.

"I'm just glad you're okay. I'll heal, Yoite. It's not that bad."

Ever so gently he covers the older boy's hand with his other, reassuring what he was saying.

Yoite trembled when Miharu's hand came to rest over his own. Yoite's own body had been lying for a long time. With all the hugs and touches he had been given by Gau and the others in this world, his nerves were growing raw. He could never quite get rid of that instinct to try and pull away, to run.... and fighting it off was making him painfully sore within.

But Miharu had been one of the first that Yoite had allowed to touch. For some reason those small hands didn't frighten him quite like the others. True, he had tried to pull away from them during the Kouga mission, but in the end he had clung to them desperately as painful confessions had tumbled from his mouth.

Only Miharu.

How did the boy manage to open him up so much? He was the one who had gotten everything started... started forcing all these unwanted emotions to start bubbling up and out of Yoite's core after the boy had fought so long to keep them locked away.

"..why did you... hurt yourself... for me?"

Miharu laid there not showing much sign of moving anytime soon, instead his hand gently rubbed over Yoite's gloved one. Green eyes meeting those blue ones, ones that he had so many times found himself staring into.

The question caused to have to actually think for a moment. Think of the best way to say why he had...a way that wouldn't cause Yoite to run away from him.

"I..." he paused for a moment. "I know the last time...when you almost lost yourself...for some reason seeing me hurt snapped you back. I didn't want you to lose control and do something you would regret, Yoite."

This time he was completely honest. His eyes closed as he waited for what Yoite might do.
