[The first thing that becomes apparent is just how furious Sasori looks. The second, that he's quite disheveled, with sand in his hair, and his cloak rumpled and open and offering a glimpse of his unnatural chest. The vista behind him is that of a modest little shrine in the middle of the desert.
There's a faint stream of obscenities that can be

They couldn't--
Why would they--
Fuck, they just did.
And he goes perfectly still, not even the faintest twitch of a muscle can be seen, just his hair lazily undulating around his chin. He says nothing, perhaps a little worried of what Sasori will think of this new development.
It's not right, it's not fucking right!
But of course, it's perfectly right, it's divine retribution after all.]

You're being too quiet, you idiot. Don't tell me you injured yourself.
[Not that Sasori is concerned or anything of that nature.]
...Did they do something?

It's all gone.]
....It'll be fine, hmn, [he says quietly, but doesn't really believe what he's saying. How can it fucking be okay?]

His eyes widen as the realization strikes. Deidara's chakra is simply...gone. Not weak, not suppressed, but dwindled down to just the barest hint that indicates he's still alive.]
Deidara...
[This is certainly problematic, and on top of the rest of today's nonsense, Sasori simply doesn't have the patience for it.]
You damned idiot, I told you not to blow it up.

[It's not like he particularly cares about suddenly finding himself kicked out, because Renji doesn't really mind the idea of sleeping outside.
But what pisses him off is these 'gods' forcing them out and now demanding they be paid tribute to to be allowed back in. The Rukongai rat in him is resenting his newfound 'nobles'.
Still, what he chooses to do depends on Byakuya. Renji might not always obey every instruction given, but he can't really say he cares enough to openly defy his captain whatever his decision should prove to be.]

They certainly aren't allowing us to leave.

[Lenalee is a little surprised to find that she agrees with nearly everything this man is saying. Were she less frustrated, that might bother her a bit due to his blasphemous nature, but quite frankly she’s feeling more than a little blasphemous herself. These aren’t her God, after all. So… forget about them, after everything these so called gods have put them through they have the nerve to kick everyone out of their homes and demand tribute?!]
[She might have actually taken him up on that offer, was considering it when- ugh. No, is that- ugh. Yes that is Deidara in the background. Never mind.]
[With a sigh, Lenalee switches on her Hitomi. It might still be worth talking to him.]
What is it exactly that you had in mind?

I can't imagine that anyone is happy with this new development.
[Still, fighting gods is a bit much to wrap her head around. She's more than a little hesitant to commit to living with people of "like minds" as well, if that includes people like Deidara. This man seems reasonable, if a little murderously angry (which she really can't blame him for). But on the other hand, he just said that he is partners with Deidara. There is no way that she can prevent that from sullying her impression of him.]
Do you really think it's possible to weaken the gods? No matter how many powerful people band together, how can we take on the all-knowing rulers of an entire world?

[He sighs.]
You're right that it seems an insurmountable goal. It may not even be possible, I'm not fool enough to be completely certain we'll be successful. However, I'd rather work towards securing the means for our escape than give in to whatever aims our captors hold for us here.
Some of those within our ranks are immensely powerful, and it may well be that such overbearing gods have enemies that could be negotiated with. In truth, I am not particularly interested in being a pawn in a divine war between such powers, but I don't see any other way to win our freedom.

I do. I want to see who else among up refuses to bow to these divine whims. It'd be prudent for us to work together, as I doubt we'll have many favors offered to us for opposing the divine order.
The nomads I spoke with earlier told me that there was a place nearby here that could potentially be welcoming for us, called Yomisato. I intend to investigate it further with my partner to see if it will be suitable.
And after that? Determining if there are any allies to be found among the beings that exist in this world. We can't possibly be the only ones dissatisfied with this sort of nonsense. If we can find sufficient allies of power, it might be possible for us to weaken our captors enough that it will open the possibility for escape.

It's a better plan than most I've heard before. Count me in. I think I know another person who might be willing to join this little group.
