Kannagara, today something totally out there happened to me. I was just minding my own business, hibernating, when all of a sudden I just got kicked out of my house, right onto the street!
It's the same thing here in Tsuchisato. Except I wasn't just kicked out of the house, I was kicked out the village and when I tried to get back inside, there was some kind of invisible force-field. So I'm in Hisato, which is the only place I can enter, apparently.
But I'm not sure how you can do anything, right now. It sounds alright and good to declare revolt, but how you going to do it? Bomb a shrine? Those three-eyed people will just rebuilt it.

It's not necessary.
You're an American, right? You don't know very much about Japanese gods. But I know a few personally. They derive their power from the faith of the people. The best way to fight one is simply to refuse to worship them.
I don't know anything about Japanese gods, that's true. But I know what kind of games uber-powerful dimensional beings play. And I can say one thing: when you refuse to play someone's game, you fall into someone else's. So where does that leave you?

Oh, sorry, didn't realize I was dealing with an uber-powerful dimensional beings expert.
But in all seriousness? If I were to make a guess, I would the someone else in this case is probably something like "gods other than the ones who brought us here." There are quite a lot of them.

[Eyes scanned down the text, vaguely reminded of those stupid infomercials he'd occasionaly awaken to after passing out by the television. Formal, forced and overly detailed, attempting to inform and sell. He certainly doesn't care much about the so-called gods or this tribute, and even less for playing heretical Power Rangers.
He switches it to voice, much too lazy to shift onto his elbows and type. There is the sound of fire crinkling behind him, smoke assisting in his preservation of several recently captured game.]
You're not the only one kicked out of your residence, yea?

It seems these gods are only punishing those lacking the ability to build a shack or locate a substitute roof. I mean, s'all they're doing, mm? Not exactly hailing every night.
[And chuckling.]
While I do not share the passion, I do wish you luck.
Naturally, I'll stand with you. I'm not about to bow and scrape to those bastards after everything they've done to us.
I believe it'd be prudent for those of us who are in agreement on this to band together. I've no desire to live among those who would collaborate with our divine captors.
And it seems there are quite a number of people popping up all over the world. The nomads Deidara and myself encountered in the desert also had marks on their foreheads, but they were duller in color. They seemed curious that we didn't possess them.
...I do have one question for you, my dear.
[A pause, and his expression turns rather perplexed.]
You have...faces...interspersed in your text. What in the world are those..things?
An excellent idea. Deidara can make those bird creatures, no? Good for scouting a place to stay. In the worst case, there are likely ruins somewhere that would be accessible. But if you find anything, do contact me.
[ Chrome can make no sense of this entire predicament.

As I was saying before, the best way to combat kami is merely to withhold your worship. For whatever reason, they have brought us into this world, and it is not a small amount of energy they'd have expended to do so. Our worship is a matter of some importance to them. So - do not place a single thing in their donation boxes. Ignore them, for now.
[Ah, it's the youkai girl. He doesn't quite understand what everything she wrote means. Some of it is just plain gibberish, he concludes eventually. Strange looking gibberish at that. Perhaps it's youkai language? Hmn. Interesting concept...
Now, he has something to say, however, and he flicks on the video function to say it. He doesn't smile, for once, in fact, he seems more thoughtful than anything.]
The towns folk has been helpful in my case. Perhaps I may suggest using patience while dealing with them? They seem curious more than anything.
However, I have to agree with you. All in all, it feels like aggressive manipulation. And if we are to succumb to this, what will be next?
Hard to say. I don't have enough information to make any kind of truly meaningful calculation. That having been said, gods care about humans about as much as humans care about grass. Which is to say, they need it to survive, technically, but the wouldn't blink at paving them over or cutting them up for practical purposes.
And you find the metaphor fitting regarding us and the gods? [ Curious, he tilts his head to look at the hitomi with searching eyes, as if he could see her through the device. ]

As for the emoticons, aren't they cute?

I intend to scout out the area with Deidara and see what I can discover.
...Emoticons, you say? Hmm...
They're quite...artistic, my dear. Such a creative woman you are.

... Interesting.
Keep in contact with me, if you could. That may be just the place.
