[The first thing Iruka does once the dream ends and he is left feeling a little numb from the shock and slight arousal weight between his legs. Seeing all these dreams, he is sure that it's like that time. That time when everyone had been stuck in a rut of sexual-dreams and fantasies and love --
But this.
No, this makes Iruka feel embarrassed, a little bit red around the tips of his ears and nose. A little bit squeamish and flattered, under all the what-the-hell-why-my-life reasoning that is popping left and right in his head.
How many more before it all stops? How many times must he relieve himself before? Why is he even watching these things again? What benefit is he deriving from it other than the fact that by the evening, he's fairly sure he'll just go to sleep and not want sex. Maybe. It might be wiser to watch everything in one go and let it be.
[There's a voice. Rin is supposed to be alone in the room, yet there is a voice. Her first reaction, intrinsic, instinctual, is to scream. Loudly. Like so:]
AAAHHHHHHHH!
[It is only after she started screaming that her brain chimes in. Remember the Hitomi, it says, and also: you know that voice.
She knows that voice, yes... and the Hitomi.
He's speaking to her over the Hitomi.
By now she's stopped screaming, but her hands are still holding her head while she's lying there and not moving altogether very much. Except for her eyes that take on a certain similarity to sake cups as she starts realizing just what this all means.
The Hitomi recorded my dream.
Her face flushes hot and bright red, and she rolls over to get the Hitomi. There it is. Video, too. Well, sorry, Iruka. She's too embarassed to show her face right now, but voice, she can do, so she clicks the according buttons to make it so. She's learned pretty well.]
Ah, I-Iruka-san. Uhm. Sorry for screaming your ears off just now. It's fine.
[Rin takes her previous thoughts back at this. How can this man be untrustworthy? His apology sounds so sincere it puts a small smile on her face, even as she's still catching her breath from screaming.]
It's okay! I just... I guess I'm a little touchy lately... must be the weather.
[Yeah, sure, the weather. Act like things are normal. Don't think too much, just keep doing, keep talking.]

[The dead girl.
Well. Alive now, isn't she. And dreaming a strange dream. Of being a boy, and of Iruka. And a man without a hand. A senseless dream. And, it occurs to him - perhaps a disturbing one. On some level. Yes, somewhere, even Sasuke finds himself uncomfortable with it, although he hardly noticed. A mad dream. A terrible dream, coming from this girl.
Who seems - who should be, anyway. Normal. Not fucked up. He had been pretty sure that she was not fucked up. He prefers to think that she isn't. That she is just a girl, average, well-adjusted, probably a little bit boring.]

[Oh, damn. Another. She's not going to live this down, is she? Sighing, she once again switches to voice transmission (her face is still a little flushed, she's afraid, and anyway she's got to have a terrible bed head) and answers.]
This is a little cute, now, isn't it. Rin having a crush on Iruka. How adorable. He never did properly get to know her before, having met her for the first time when she was no longer there. They buried her together. But here she is again, and alive. Death in this place seems to have no meaning. You do not die here. Cannot. Kakashi wonders, sometimes, what that means. To not be able to die.
But this...
He supposes this isn't quite the life anyone would want. Not being able to die and having sexual fantasies shown to the rest of the world. Ah. What a parody of a life this is, sometimes. ]
[But to Rin, this is torture. Okay, not really, because she's had real torture, but it is inconveniencing her very much.
It's the truth she's saying -- though Iruka is quite handsome -- so she feels she must make that absolutely clear. She's not dreaming about Iruka because of Iruka.
Of course, she'd about die before divulging who it was really about. It's absolutely nobody's business, after all.]
[Rin can't help but asking, can't help but wondering. It's not even something she would hold against him (too much), but she's just so curious sometimes.]

And had he been in front of her, he would have probably bowed so low, his spine would snap in half.]
Please forgive me for scaring you! I did not mean to do so!
[Well, this is awkward.]

Shouldn't ordinary people have ordinary dreams?

So, you fancy Iruka, hmm?

N-no, not at all! I really don't! It, uh, it isn't really about him.
[She doesn't know what the purpose of this is. Does he intend to tease her, to mercilessly derive amusement from her predicament?
The thought makes her pout a little.]

Ah, is that so. Well, if you did have a crush on him, there is nothing wrong with that all. He's quite the catch.
[ He's teasing her very lightly, a gentle kind of thing. Not all malicious in any way. ]

Geez.
[No matter what Kakashi says, right now Rin still hates this aspect of Kannagara with a fiery passion.]
