[ The Hitomi flickers on. Its screen registers a sickening spiral of blue and soft gray, spinning, wheeling wildly. After a sudden flash of read, and then the slap of a palm against the screen, it's obvious that the thing-- and its owner-- is falling. Falling fast, and apparently from a great distance. And suddenly a swath of green

Oh.
[ The statement is very quiet, and he takes a moment to absorb the information. And then he handles the Hitomi more carefully now, trying to affect an air of dignified seriousness, peeling his face away from the screen. ]
How... do you fit inside?

Com...yunicashuns. Device.
[ So, it was just a little awkward on the tongue. He exhaled a sigh through his nostrils, smearing the blood from his face with the back of a dirty hand. It's the first other person he's seen in the better part of a year; he was determined to make the best of it. ]
Are you... very far? And... can you... or could I... use it to find someone?

Besides, he sees that determination take over, and it reminds him of Mello.]
Hey. It's called Kannagara. You need someone to stitch you up?

I... stitching, yeah.
[ He hadn't received any real medical attention for such wounds in the better part of a year; hadn't received any human contact in roughly the same time. The raw hope that brightened his dirty, bruised face was both unconscious and unfeigned. The same hand dropped to press against the screen, half-expecting it to give way to the touch. ]
How do I find you?

Everyone lands here at that tree, [he goes on as he heads out the door. He fires up a cigarette, as is his habit when walking anywhere.]
And it's gonna take me a half-hour to get there. One of the many, many weird things about this place.
I'm Matt, hi.

Hopefully not always so roughly... [ he manages dryly, lifting both hands to his aching head again... only to realize there are leaves in his hair. Methodically, he begins picking them out and letting them fall. ]
I'm Wander.
And... thank you.

[The face on the screen is decidedly NOT human, but seems compassionate enough despite his fierce appearance. Idly he wonders just how many humans there are on this planet.]
I asked the same questions when I found myself here. It seems this place is called Kannagara and you are lucky enough to be a part of it... it seems.

Lucky...? Not exactly what I'd call it...
[ Nope, not bitter at all. Dirty fingertips swipe some of the blood from his temple. But before misery at his situation can distract him further, both hands scrabble to lift the screen closer to his face. ]
Why is only one of your eyes blue?

I say lucky because we're not dead. Although, no one here seems to know what exactly what is going on which is concerning in itself...
[He'll blink at the mention of his eye and notice his scope is still running trying to collect data on the strange atmosphere he's in. His mandibles flexing out in an amused smile he'll turn the aerogel screen off.]
Ah, it's a scope, I don't even notice it's running half of the time.
[OOC: Link as an example, haha sorry the DP are tiny and ridiculous for showing any detail http://images.wikia.com/masseffect/images/0/08/GarrusME2Ratio.png ]

[ Wander's mouth slants, a touch petulantly, but he sighs in agreement. It would, indeed, be worse to be dead... ]
Doesn't matter to me what other people do. I'm going to get to the bottom of it, and get home.
[ Said with a nigh-religious conviction and stubborn gleam in his eye. But the powering-down of the screen distracts him, and he makes a curious sound of amazement. ]
A scope-eye! Does it hurt when it... goes out? What do you see with it?
