[ Surely, this has to be the work of the gods. Kakashi recognizes the rhythm of Gai's speech too easily in Yamamoto's voice -- and though he'd much rather believe this is all some kind of very elaborate prank, the things he's seen in Kannagara and been through as well tell him that it's quite possible that this has actually happened. And that the person speaking in this video is not Chipper-kun, not Yamamoto, not the man he hid with in an izakaya during a hailstorm, but Maito Gai. ]
What did you do?
[ Kakashi can only assume Gai did something for this to happen. He's getting up now and starting to get dressed, to put on his flak vest to head over to the place Gai and Lee have recently rented. ]

Anyway, if you didn't do anything, I can only assume the gods decided it was time to play around with you for whatever reason. I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of other people have woken up today in someone else's body, or anything like that.

I'll go check on your body. Hopefully you two have simply switched bodies -- it'll be rather inconvenient if someone else is in your body, instead of Yamamoto-san.

[Imagine there are tears in his eyes, Gai, though you can't see him. Lee's having trouble making the hitomi work for him today. He's just had a scare and Gai is a very welcome relief...even if it isn't Gai. His words come out in a rush, anxious and excitable.]

[Lee's eyes were full of shimmering, un-shed tears, but now they're streaming down his cheeks and he is just SO HAPPY. Gai-sensei is SAFE.
But this body and voice do not do Gai-sensei's sheer...Gai-ness justice. Lee does not like this. He wants Gai-sensei back to being Gai-sensei and he'll do whatever it takes!
He wipes his cheeks and eyes with his sleeve.]

[Because this is the perfect time for a disaster like this. Of course, it is quite upsetting to see a comrade be forced to go through what looks like an absolute joke. A frown, displeased, worried.]

[Even if it does sound like Gai -- the phrasing of words, the intonation and tone, even if the voice doesn't belong to Gai.]

In the past nothing has ever been permanent. I should hope that particular trend remains the same.
[He tries to smile. Because it'll be okay. Kakashi has been here just as long as Iruka himself has. He'll know what to do.]
Don't worry, Gai-sensei. As long as you're not harmed and you're not hurt, that's fine. You sound like you got your head in the right place. Kakashi-taichou will - might know what to do. Please let me know if I can do anything for you.
Ah, I didn't mean it so very literally... though, well, there have been strange things happening before that, I suppose, did have a common theme, but sometimes, that was rather broad. Other times not so much. We've had things where people turned into children, and then we had things when water turned to blood, poisonous fog rose during the night and monsters were charging into villages.
So, I suppose it's not that unusual that both the marriages and... this should happen on the same day.
