[ The emptiness and the darkness. The rolling of something like waves. Lelouch feels this, feels the dark not so physical as it is internal, darkness of the mind as well as the eyes. You can't understand what you can't articulate, you can't articulate what you don't have the words for; you can't control what you cannot name. Life without Nunnally's name was empty, fractured, a broken facsimile of what it should have been, a doll with the stuffing torn out and sewn back up empty. With the shape of wholeness, but none of the substance

[On average Marco loses his body about three times a day, twenty-one times a week, eighty-four times a month, and one thousand and eight times a year. (Though sometimes he has days when he has to morph five times a day.) He's used to have his bones mesh up and disappear and have his heart turn smaller or even non-existent. The faint popping sound of hair growing, the imprint of feathers emerging in three dimensions. He's used to it, he doesn't blink at the process
( ... )
[ Tabula rasa. It sounds like something he should know, whispers at the back of his mind, a tickle of something familiar, something that is there but Peter can't seem to reach. Just beyond his ability to touch or see. He's a little annoyed that this device decided to broadcast one of his dreams, but at least it wasn't something too private, and at least this question isn't too probing. ]
I looked it up in an encyclopedia once. It means blank slate. People are born with a completely wiped brain, and then learns what it needs to learn on its own.
Your dream just reminds of that. And I kinda know how it feels, too. Being wiped, I mean.

[ Isaac is unfamiliar with the concept of dreaming in Kannagara. When he picks up the Hitomi and begins to see and feel things as Peter, he isn't sure what's happening.
The dream begins, and god, Isaac can just barely remember when life was like that. When everything beautiful, even in the dead, colorless winter amongst the cold steel and concrete. He wasn't so bitter back then; back when he wasn't so weary from constantly reassembling all the jagged fragments of himself that never seemed to fit back into place no matter which way you turned them.
What follows are sensations that are more familiar to Isaac. The darkness, the pain, the That's the life he knows, and he's convinced that's all the life he deserves. Is this really how Peter feels? He never expected to be able to compare himself to Peter in any way, but this...it's almost identical to how Isaac has felt time and time again
( ... )
[ It's an honest answer, really. Isaac hasn't picked up the device very often since it showed up in his pocket. He was just lucky enough to have the most amazing timing ever. ]

[This is disorientating.
It's the first thing Byakuran thinks as he immerses himself in this. This is disorientating, confusing and Byakuran has never had motion sickness, but he thinks this might be what it feels like.
Flight - he's used to flight; used to spreading his wings (literally) and taking off. Yet his head still swims with what he sees. But this isn't flight at all, this is falling-
Byakran's never fallen has he? Metaphorically, perhaps, but not like this. Not literally like this.
Byakuran sucks in a breath and sends an audio feed almost by accident.]
Peter would recognize his voice anywhere, all slippery like a snake through oil with a tiny lilt on the end. Dangerous, Tsuna's voice reminds him, evil, evil, evil, don't trust him, be careful. Peter isn't sure why Byakuran, of all people, would comment on his dream like this. Maybe it's a test, a way to figure out how Peter works, or maybe Byakuran's just genuinely curious, Peter doesn't really know. What he does know is that he needs to be careful, needs to put more of himself into his voice and shove away that cold edge that threatens to creep into his tone. ]
[Byakuran replays the dream in his mind, his hands clutched around his Hitomi tightly, as though it were grounding him to the spot. He can't really make heads or tails about Peter from his subconscious - small guesses, perhaps. There's nothing there, however, that is obvious.
He feels a headache coming on.]
You have a lot going on your head, huh~? Someone told me once, that thinking too much is bad for you~.
Yeah? Well, I guess I can't help it. Thinking, I mean.
[ He's not sure what Byakuran's going with this, so all Peter can do is play his game. That's what Byakuran likes to do anyway, isn't it? Play games? ]
[ A hum, dulled tune of classical piano playing at the background, the screen is filmed with smoke. Gokudera is tinkering with something, one of his hand made cigarettes bitten between his teeth, not looking at the screen.
His voice sounds quiet, reassuring maybe, soft, teasing.
It is familiar at best. Condescending at worst if you choose to look at it that way. ]
You know what dreaming about flying is supposed to mean?
[ Peter doesn't take it as condescending, since he's been living with Gokudera for a while. The guy is smart, he'll give him that, especially since he spends so much time with his nose in the books. ]
[ A surprised glance at the screen. He wonders suddenly how far the amnesia goes. ]
Ah... [ It had been meant to be a joke. It's kind of ironic how every time he attempts humor, it's bound to fail. ] Well, I suppose it's widely known that flying, when it comes to sleep interpretation, means sex.
[ Those green eyes are friendly for once, wrinkling at the corners in amusement. Yes, he's trying to take your mind off it. ]
[ Yeah, okay, Peter is laughing now, a little awkwardly, rubbing at the back of his neck a bit. ]
It is? I didn't know that... Huh, guess you learn something new every day.
[ Especially when you're Peter and your memories are so limited as it is. Though really, Gokudera? Sex? ...well, Peter hasn't had sex for a while, so maybe that's possible. He has been missing Caitlin a whole lot. ]

It was just a dream, dude. You haven't noticed that people's dreams get shown on this thing?
