[At first, all the video feed captures is darkness and the sound of heavy, shaky breathing. It's the type of breathing that happens when a very broken person on the verge of a breakdown and tries to calm their nerves on their own

[ This guy looks like he can use a little help. Peter hasn't seen him before so he can only assume he's just arrived. But unlike the others who arrive and are confused and scared, there's something a little broken about this man's eyes. A sort of desperation that Peter feels but doesn't quite understand. Either way, he's sure that this man could probably use a little help. ]

[ Help is an understatement. Isaac is completely broken, almost to the point where he needs to be rewired and reset completely. He's been shattered too many times, and those pieces no longer fit back together the way they used to.

He startles at the sound of the strangely familiar voice, but his gaze almost immediately goes cold when he sees just who that voice belongs to. There's a brief moment where he considered tossing this strange device into grass, but he refrains. ]

Peter...?

[ Peter, he says, and almost immediately, Peter reacts, fingers tightening around the Hitomi, eyes wide on a man whose face he doesn't recognize. And for a moment he thinks that maybe this man is talking to some other Peter and not him, but the man is clearly speaking to him and him alone on this device, which means that he should know this person or at least this person knows him. It's a little like deja vu, with that woman in the cold barren stretch of empty room, gripping his arms with recognition in her eyes and his name on her mouth like it somehow belonged to her.

The pause and study lasts only a moment. ]

Do I know you?

[ Isaac tilts his head slightly, his gaze growing colder by the second. The last thing he expected was not being recognized, especially given the none too cheerful circumstances of his previous meeting with Peter. He falls silent, vaguely wondering if Peter is simply blocking that from his mind. It's what he wishes he could do, after all. It's just part of the reason he surrendered so easily to Sylar. To Isaac, dying meant no more guilt. It meant forgetting and being at peace.

But this isn't peace.]

It hasn't been that long, Peter. I'd love to forget too, but it's not that easy.

Ah, I'm afraid I can't answer that, young man, but I can tell you what I know?

[Iroh is starting to think they need a guide to help out these people, who the Gods seem to expect to just hit the ground running after being yanked from their worlds.]

[ A guide would be helpful, but Isaac is the type of person who would have a complete meltdown either way. His eyebrows knit together when Iroh pops up on the little device's screen, but he nods in response, desperately wanting to understand. ]

From what I've seen, and been told, we were brought here by the nature spirits of this realm. They have given the reason as a wish we would learn harmony, though it seems they are not all in agreement over the matter. I am also told that some of the people recognize the spirits here as sharing names with the ones from their own realm. As for me, their natures are familiar, but their names are not.

[ He doesn't want to accept that explanation as the truth, simply because he doesn't know what he believes in anymore. So he ignores it, pushing it back to dwell on it silently later. Instead, he turns to the subject that's bothering him the most.]

[ Really, Kakashi's seen this so many times, it's getting pretty old. ]

[ Another voice. Isaac just can't get used to this strange little device. The incoming voices make him jump every time, and this is no exception. He gives the screen a long, thoughtful glance, then shakes his head. ]

Ah, well, in that case, you're hallucinating. This is all a part of your imagination.

[ Isaac takes a shaky breath and just shrugs. He doesn't have the energy to argue, and it makes sense. As far as he's concerned, he was close to insanity at the time of his apparent death. ]

[...that breathing doesn't sound too good. Lavi knows that kind of breathing, how many times hasn't he heard it? Has... breathed like that a couple of times himself too. Breathing like that while your throat hurts, a bit from your heart feeling as if it's beating right up in there somehow. And panic...

Wonder what kind of situation this guy came from. Or is he panicking about coming here? Sounds unlikely...]
