Yoite-kun. Don't lie...our birthday was back in August, on the 20th. Just because I was made to forget for a time doesn't mean you should have.

[A pause and a nod before he shifts his attention.]

[This was more difficult than he thought if he had stumbled into a place where such claims were made. Perhaps this was more serious than he first thought. Where was Crawford in all of this? He needed his boss to really know where he was going in the secular sense, and without a church to go to, he didn't really know where to begin, spiritually. He'd sort this out eventually, surely, but this whole thing is confusing.]

[Though...he understands well that lonely, seemingly saddened expression. Dates of remembrance like this were always a sad and introspective affair for him.]

This place, Kannagara, functions as a sort of crossroads between realities. A nexus, if you will. People come here from worlds with different histories, or dominant species, or physical laws. It's difficult to accept - I had a hard time with it myself, in the beginning.

[he's just being a clown but it seems Lelouch appreciated it. A different reaction from usual. The people he knew would either jump back or wonder what the hell was wrong with Break. The answer to that would be long and most don't have the mental strength to listen to the whole thing]

... well, he can smile for that. even if that's wrong. yeah. he can play "suzaku" for a day. it's just letting "zero" slip away for a while, letting the "knight of zero" shut the hell up, and forcing both the "knight of seven" and "princess euphemia's knight" into a very dark place. all are identities he more or less doesn't need anymore. without nunnally, "zero" has no merit, no worth.
