[ The Hitomi shows a light gray sky. Tiny flurries of snow fall like itinerant flecks of dust, too small to actually accumulate. The video shifts to show Lelouch's face. He is watching the snow. ]
The weather's beginning to turn. Time is so difficult to keep track of, here.
[ There is a distant look in his eyes. After a moment of this, his attention almost snaps to the Hitomi, a bit too suddenly, as if jolted out of a reverie. ]
I wonder, do dates even matter here? My Hitomi keeps track of time in twelve-month years, but what does it matter? I'm sure other worlds have differing calendars.
[ Lelouch's gaze returns to the snow. He chews his lower lip pensively. The color is up in his cheeks - the warmest article of clothing he has on is his jacket, which would only be a fall jacket at best even if it wasn't battered and worn from its trials in Kannagara. ]
If it really is December fifth... [ His breath ghosts out white in the crisp air. ] I suppose... it's my birthday. Or close enough to it.
[ Strange that he seems to be made more lonely than happy by this, if his expression is any indicator. ]
