[Week 15 | Day 1 ] Celestial Chronicle - Vol 1. Issue 1

Nov 23, 2010 19:10

[When you check your Hitomi today, there's a strange message. It's just there, no name or image attached to it to suggest the sender. It looks almost like a parchment scroll on the screen.

What's funny is you might have already seen Celestials across Kannagara reading it in physical form, especially in Raisato and Mizusato, and frowning in ( Read more... )

[Break looks very amused as he munches on a lollypop he still had in his stash back in the home he found mostly untouched...as long as you ignored the right half of it being blown away and scattered all over the yard.]

My my my. To think this place has trash tabloids like this. Seems we've been marked as the big bad wolf now. I wonder. Does this mean we won't get another festival like we did recently?

[a childish pout at that now]

[ah Kakashi. That's right he missed it didn't he? Well here's Break to fill you in]

Yes. Not long before this whole mess happened. We could get free items and food and drinks just by showing out Hitomi too. It was a lovely event. Though now it seems to be coming back to stab us in the back.

Mm....

[ Kakashi takes this information in quietly. ]

Did anything else exciting happen?

[The sight of this...this...drivel leaves Raikou totally non-plussed. He simply STARES at this message, then glances around to see many of those injured or coordinating the volunteer efforts are reading a paper version of the same message.

Some few are giving Raikou and Gau some looks that range from suspicious to downright hostile and a faint frown touches his face.

Oh, this doesn't bode well...maybe...

[He hesitates, almost unsure for a moment, because helping those injured is something Gau would not walk away from, and to do so now might bring her disappointment down upon them, and yet ( ... )

There are many that have been injured or lost homes, both these native Celestials and those of us brought here alike.

[A pause.]

There are quite a few that need help around here, if you are so inclined. Or, if nothing else, please help those that cannot help themselves get to either here or Raisato.

These people weren't the cause for the horrors of this last week, after all.

[Clearly, he is choosing to ignore that message entirely and urging those of them that are able to prove such instigators wrong - though he doubts many will take up his call.]

[Gau smiles, because after all, he is quite proud of his partner, and the fact that the natives around them support Raikou only goes to show that this time he's doing things right.

Gau wants to do them right too.

And so he beams up at Raikou, for just a moment, and then... flicks on his own Hitomi, sending off a short message of his own.]

[Kanda never really liked reading newspapers. Not even when it seemed all big and important, because back home it never concerned his objectives to destroy the Akuma in the given area. Old habits die hard, so it seems. He hasn't been any different here this far, obviously much of this say nothing to him ( ... )

[here's your favorite troll to answer your question]

The celestials are the people of the main towns, Kanda.

[such familiarity from a person you hate. You thought only Lavi did this kind of thing?]

[FFFFFF asfjafh]

[Why yes, yes he did. Although thanks to Lavi's constant invasion of personal space both physically and morally, he doesn't get all that surprised to see you again now. Just twitches a bit and maintains the same face.]

Che.

[Strange, then again so is everything with this place.]

So if I went into some town, that would make me one.

[Not that he would. Doesn't give a crap.]

[a very amused laugh at that simple thought]

Only if you would be born there. as a whole, Celestiales refers to the natives.

[Hisana had caught the message on her Hitomi and stared at the screen for several moments in silence as she reads over it before turning to continue down the street back towards the residence Byakuya had found for them. She noticed the expressions of the civilians as she passed, but her own didn't change, instead turning a corner before she opened the door to enter the dwelling. ]

This situation has been unpleasant enough without someone adding more fuel to the flames with messages like this.

[He looks up, frowning slightly at her words.]

What is it, Hisana?

How ungrateful.

[Really. Didn't all that snapping he'd done change anything? It wasn't as if some of theirs didn't die either. After all that fighting they did, he'd like to think it mattered, at least for a little. But really, his concern had been his own. Probably a lot of others who did way more than he did.

It wasn't very nice, being on this side of discrimination.]

No doubt someone is trying to give us an even harder time. I wouldn't be surprised if it was the Gods, themselves.

They didn't make it any easier by taking their time to step in.

Funny. I never thought I'd miss those friendly people offering free things just a couple weeks ago.

Alas, it is one of the perks of supposedly being a God. No matter what you do or how you do it, you are peerless.

Indeed. You always learn to appreciate the little things only after you lose them.

[there's a slight distant look in his eyes now. He always gets like that when he happens to think of his past]
