There's something wrong with me

Apr 07, 2009 22:36

I think over-exposure to the Watchmen fandom has broken my brain. There I am, happily gorging on the good and the bad, and my subconscious comes up with this gem. ( Just realised this is mildly spoilery. )

days out, watchmen

oh, poo, I think it will. And I had plans to wear my funky sandals, too! *le sigh* Bring ... something pretty and girly for champagne tea, it's that kinda place (linkie). And, er, moneys as well, for the place is mildly extortionate. Also lovely is The Wolseley, which is much less eye-stabbingly expensive, and also does a fab brunch. I was thinking - Easter Monday brunch? We'll probably have to book, tho.

I'd feel guilty about spending money, but it's my patriotic duty, etc etc.

And then there is the walking around and the looking at things. And church. So a good mix of, er, everything. (I may also have things that could possibly maybe fit you, if push comes to shove.) I'd say a good medium-weight coat, a pair of walking shoes, and a pair of formal shoes, are the necessities. *plots & plans*

I still owe people (including you) fic before I get to write the stuff slowly percolating. But - maybe...

And are you in London?

I am indeed, yes. And monanotlisa arrives tomorrow. When are you arriving?? Shall we do something spectacular? Will there be tassels? I love tassels...

If anyone could pull off that story, it would be you. Though you know what I'd find even more interesting? Laurie, after her discovery of the rape attempt (i.e. ca the era where she threw drinks in his face), rescuing him and having to deal with it, and the fact this also means she's responsible for his continuined existence and hence threat to the rest of the population. Because I have no doubt the Comedian would rescue Laurie - between the "his, you know, his old friend's daughter" and "only the once!" conversations, he's clearly sentimental about her, and I always thought it was fantastically screwed up that in Vietnam directly after shooting the pregnant Vietnamese woman when he turns Jon's reproach around and points out Jon could have stopped him at any time, he also includes this: "You're drifting out of touch, doc. You've forgotten what's her name, and soon, you won't be interested in Sally's little girl, either." So yes, he'd help her, no big dilemma there. Her helping him, on the other hand?

Your brain is contagious. I have 2 pages written already. Mean, I tell you. Mean. It's not like I write Watchmen fic!

Oh, God. *g* I've got something in the works, thanks to selenak prodding me with bunnies. Not sure if fic will come out of it, but there's stuff on a page, at least. :)
