I took the day off today. This is in response to my body basically breaking yesterday, which I suspect had something to do with me going out to dinner Thursday evening. When I told my parents I was considering taking Arabic, they said, is it so you can tell them in their own language, "please don't kidnap me"? =_= parents indeed.

I have zero winter formal wear, so I can't really help you there. I usually just wear whatever dress I want anyway, and just pile on flesh tone tights and a big coat.

See, at least yours leave in the possibility of getting out alive. I suspect that my dad thinks I'll be shot as soon as I step through customs.

I have zero winter formal wear, so I can't really help you there. I usually just wear whatever dress I want anyway, and just pile on flesh tone tights and a big coat.

I'd usually do this, but my formal coat isn't big and warm this year, and my formal 'weddings' dress is organza silk. Thin velvet teamed with organza silk = freezing to death in Edinburgh, and small children decorating my frozen limbs like a Christmas tree.
