I was not even aware of that! So - creating pseudocest where none existed for the characters? *breaks brain* That's going to take more brain cells than I have left, I feel...I think it was probably a product of the fact that Lionel and Lex had such a twisted relationship already in canon; I mean, nobody wrote "Clark and Lex raised by the Kents leads to incest," at least as far as I know ( ... )

Amazingly, there is at least one story I've read in which the Kents raise Clark and "Alex" as brothers, and Alex and Clark develop a secret incestuous relationship just as Alex is going off to college. Darn, can't remember who the author is now though...

Don't they also consider themselves brothers? Or at least have referred to each other as brothers/being like brothers?

But I mean, I look at how Tim first initially thought of Dick-- the way he stalked and idolized him-- and it just reads to me SO MUCH like a crush. I mean, whether it's a gay crush or a sort of platonic boy hero-worship crush is debatable, but still ( ... )
