Oh... My... GOD!!!!!!! SIGN ME UP RIGHT NOW!!!! RIGHT NOW!!!!
But seriously, I think some people might start going insane (including myself) after the fifth or so day. Also, are there affordable eating options in the area? As much as I love and want to have babies with this idea (yes you heard me!) It's gotta cost me a fortune (which probably won't be offset by prize money). And yes, I WILL be cramming in a room with 3+ people.
Any idea on an entry fee yet?
Rating Cutoff between divisions?
You might want to make the "tile slinger division" have less games maybe?
1 Last thought, I really do think this can work if you make it work. Don't let any naysayers tell you otherwise.
...
This better not be a drunk post.

Oh and you should also have a 30 game bailout option. After 30 games, you should be allowed to leave the tournament* if you think you've lost or are about to lose your sanity.
*Those that leave the tournament after 30 games are subject to severe ridicule, mocking, and water-balloons, to name just a few.

I have to do a lot of number-crunching before I announce the entry fee prematurely. I'd like to keep it at, say $225, but that might not be doable. Obviously I'm going to try to keep costs down - not just for entry fee, but also the hotel package, BUT, there are other considerations to weigh ( ... )

Just to flesh things out, we decided that the Baltimore Inner Harbor would be a great place for this despite the fact that we'll no longer be living here next year for a bunch of reasons ( ... )

Pretty much no chance I can attend given the time commitment and my job, but I want to say that this is a phenomenal idea and a great way to promote and extend our tournament scene.

Certainly rendered my ears arrect, but will it be Collins? Might get a glimpse of John Waters as a bonus.

Yes, I am considering adding Collins. Most definitely. Oh yes, a John Waters sighting is indeed possible. As well as a glimpse of major landmarks. We, for example, live just blocks from the water - and near the famous Homicide: Life on the Streets police station. (A popular detective show if you're not familiar with it.) Quite cool to see up close.
