i remember reading 1984. vaguely. but this brought it all back. i love the style. the simplicity, despite the complicated situations. i like how you just... toss us into the world. don't bother to explain. but it makes sense. the vibe for the place is there.

I don't think there will be more of this verse, it's pretty much just a oneshot detailing an image I had in my mind.

So, yeah. That little noise you just heard? That was the sound of my heart breaking. This was really, really good, in a way that leaves me feeling quietly depressed that things won't change for them.

Your use of the prompt was clever--it always seems to me that it'd be difficult to write such a drawn-out fic based entirely on the two of them in a bathroom, so this was a good workaround.

I want to quote individual lines that I love best, but I'm not sure if there's a cap on the length of comments, so I'll stick with two:

They commit treachery, quietly, lips pressed together, and every kiss is a felony, every touch, an offence, and together they commit an act of transgression far worse than any that Hankyung has ever done.

I'm not sure which is the bigger felony here--the sex or the feeling behind it. And I love that.

"There is no hope for this one," someone else says, someone standing behind his chair outside his field of vision, and Hankyung agrees that there is no hope, not for Siwon whose eyes have lost the fierce glow that

Yes, I discarded so many ideas regarding this plot because Shihan is a pairing that... IDK, deserves more (for me) than just bathroom sexfic, and then one night (I'm pretty sure it was late!) I got the idea of Siwon perhaps being one of the Thought Police and that spurred this whole fic, even though it wound up in a totally different direction.

ohmygod. This was just. wow. In a very short amount of words, compared to the book itself, you just made me feel almost everything I felt when I read the novel. And the end is sad and it hurts and just hfksjfks wowowow, I've never read a fic based off 1984 but you just pulled it off brilliantly and it felt like it, I think you really made them fit, and just. Ouch. Oh. This was so good *-*
